Dining:
For palates accustomed to refined tastes, Hyatt Regency Delhi
offers a whole new culinary dimension. All food served in the
hotel is purchased from government certified markets and fisheries,
and prepared in the hotel's own kitchen under the chefs' watchful
eyes.
La Piazza: Voted the best restaurant twice this year for authentic
Italian cuisine and the best pizzas, La Piazza is definitely a
jewel in Hyatt Regency Delhi's crown. Guests in search of oven-fresh
pizzas, al dente pastas and fine wines head for La Piazza, the
hotel's casual and trendy Italian restaurant. Serving authentic
Italian cuisine, its rustic surroundings are reminiscent of the
sidewalk restaurants and meeting squares of Italy. This popular
restaurant offers a mixed menu at lunch time, including antipasti,
a dessert buffet and a selection of main courses to choose from,
all prepared in the restaurant's show kitchen. An a la carte menu
is offered during dinner. It's pastas and pizzas on Sunday for
lunch. A variety of pastas and wood-fire oven baked pizzas are
passed around while guests help themselves to an exhaustive antipasti
buffet followed by a dessert buffet. Sunday Brunch offers an elaborate
antipasti buffet including capriccio, smoked salmon, grilled chicken,
a lavish spread of green salads, polenta and much more. The highlight
of Sunday Brunch is the unlimited supply of pasta and pizza for
the main course - eat as much as you can for the same price. The
dessert display is also very lavish with sorbet and other specialties.
TK's Oriental Grill: TK's stands for Teppanyaki Kitchens and has
seven hot grills, on which qualified chefs cook in front of guests
who are seated around the grill. This style of cooking is visual
and all types of food can be prepared on these grills. The overall
feel is trendy and is enhanced with dramatic lighting. The methodology
employed in this method of cooking is truly awesome. The uncooked
food is brought in from the kitchen, the sauces are on hand and
hey presto, the chef, with a few deft strokes, puts it all together
as you watch each nuance of the maneuver while your dish is being
prepared. Seafood, lobster and prawns are prepared and accompanied
by some delicate sauces. Sake is served with Japanese food, and
a great deal of attention is paid to the finest detail.
Café: Café is a 24 hour restaurant located at pool level. A waterfall,
located in the lobby, adds to the freshness of the environment.
It offers an elaborate buffet spread for breakfast, lunch and
dinner. An à la carte menu is also available. A show kitchen at
the far end of the restaurant prepares and serves hot kebabs,
rotisserie meats and pasta preparations à la minute. It is well
known for its frequently hosted international food festivals.
Breakfast Buffet 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Lunch Buffet 12 Noon to
3:00 PM. Dinner Buffet 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Polo Lounge: This popular bar has a traditional English decor
of wood paneling, leather chesterfield chairs and a small fireplace.
Opening Hours 11:00 to Midnight. Lunch 12:00 to 15:00. Happy Hour
17:00 to 19:00.
Cuisine: A variety of sandwiches, made from different types of
bread with choice of fillings and toppings plus soups of the day,
as well as an array of appetizing salads are available between
12:00 and 15:00. The Polo Lounge boasts of the most exhaustive
selection of international spirits - especially malt whiskies
- as well as a wide selection of liqueurs and exotic cocktails
and mocktails.
Djinns: Speculation is rife for pinning Djinns down to one nomenclature,
that of a bar, disco or just another restaurant. Well! In terms
of idea, concept and style, it is all that and much more, as evasive
as a genie in a lamp. Djinns promises to be the place where you’d
just love to be found, every single evening of the week - by yourself,
with that someone special or 'en famille,' either in the hubbub
of activity, in the seclusion of the private rooms or the exclusivity
of a banquet area ideal for private parties. Djinns draws from
the aesthetics of numerous cultures to bring to life an inspiring
range of design and entertainment concepts. On the one hand you
have an ambience reminiscent of the 'true blue English' of the
1930s, whilst on the other, an eclectic mix of exotic cuisine
and the latest in entertainment, both vying for the fun lover's
attention. While a suspended Fokker plane, etched mirrors and
the 'come alive' mannequins of The King, Monroe and Dean take
you back to the 'good ol’ days,' the electronic dart board and
an inviting pool table hold the interest of the incorrigibly footloose
and eagle-eyed. The high point of Djinns is the Island Bar serving
a wide selection of drinks and a host of innovative cocktails
and mocktails. The impressive show-kitchen prides itself on whipping
up Mediterranean and Lebanese specialties, such as Shawarma and
grilled meats. The mouth-watering fusion fare includes such gems
of modern invention as grilled tuna with onion kulcha, chicken
tikka rolled in naan and feta cheese and olives in roti; as well
as the tapas, hummus and taramasalata that twists the tongue in
more ways than one. Djinns comes alive, every evening, with live
music at 20:30 which is very lively and delightfully different. |
